Pride season is upon us

FLAGThis year LAGIP will be teaming up with GALIPS, the Prison LGB&T staff network at four predie events: Newcastle, Cardiff, Brighton and Manchester Pride. LAGIP Chair, Margaret Sinclair, tells Napo News ‘it would be great to have Napo members join us on the parade. I cannot guarantee that the sun will shine, but I can guarantee a fun day.  (If it rains – we will have another rainbow).’

The four events are:

  • Fri 17 – Sun 19 July: Northern Pride (Newcastle upon Tyne)
  • Sat 1 August: Brighton Pride
  • Sat 15 August: Pride Cymru (Cardiff)
  • Fri 28 – Mon 31 August: Manchester Pride

To date other events being represented include West Yorkshire and Norfolk and Suffolk.  Details below :

Staffing will be a mix of LGBT and straight staff – they are working with their network group Out for Justice.Anyone from West Yorkshire area who wants to help can let the Diversity and Development admin team know via their mailbox:
  • Norfolk and Suffolk CRC will have a stall at Norwich Pride on Saturday 25th July.  They will be sharing the stall with the 4women Centre, as they did last year.
